What you will see at Siam Niramit

Siam Niramit Phuket is an evening complex in Rassada on the edge of Phuket Town: a themed village, a courtyard with photo spots, dinner and a stage show on Thai culture. According to the theatre’s website the project began in Bangkok in 2005 and the Phuket theatre opened in 2011. The ticket is usually bought for the whole evening, not only for the performance.

The Siam Niramit show. A stage 65 m wide, 70 m deep and 10 m high, over 100 performers, 500 costumes and over 100 sets, according to the official website. The show moves through the eras and regions of Thailand: the north with the Lanna kingdom, the northeast with the Khmer temple Phanom Rung, the centre with the royal barge Suphannahong. The website names a river on stage (a 300 m³ tank), 12 angels flying in the “Heaven” scene, rain and thunderstorms, projection mapping in the third act and four stage lifts.

The 100 Year Thai Village. Houses from four regions of Siam: the central plain, the north, the northeast and the south. The website’s programme lists weaving fish from palm leaf, tasting rice and coconut sweets, a boat ride along the canal, trying on traditional costumes and watching the northern fingernail dance, “fon lep”.

Naga Courtyard. Photo backdrops inspired by Thai art: a 30 m naga with fountains and lasers, Tossakan and Hanuman from the Ramakien, a royal pavilion. Dancers perform here before the show and invite guests to join in.

Street food. The dinner package includes a buffet of Thai dishes. The home page lists a Halal certificate from the Phuket Islamic Committee for 2026-2027.

The evening step by step

  1. 17:30 the gates and the 100 Year Thai Village open
  2. 17:30-20:00 the restaurant is open (for the dinner package)
  3. 19:45 Naga Courtyard programme before the show

How long it takes and when to go

The whole evening takes about 4 hours: from 17:30 to the end of the show at 21:50, plus travel. The show itself runs 80 minutes. The website names no seasonal closures, the only day off in the schedule is Tuesday.

The show is in the theatre, while the village and Naga Courtyard are outdoors, so rain affects the first part of the evening. January-March are the driest months, August-October the wettest.

What to do in rain

The show is in the theatre, so the evening is not cancelled. The website does not say what the theatre does in a heavy storm on the open grounds: ask by phone on +66 7633 5001. You can shorten the wet part of the evening by arriving closer to the theatre opening at 20:00.

Safety and rules

The theatre’s website does not publish visitor rules: filming, dress, outside food, age limits. Confirm them by phone or e-mail before you go, especially if you bring small children or a pushchair.

Who it suits and who it does not

  • Suits. Anyone who wants Thai history and dance in one evening in a theatre, without choosing separate excursions. Families with children who want an evening under a roof
  • Does not suit. Anyone arriving on a Tuesday: the theatre is closed. Anyone who finds 80 minutes of sitting hard. Anyone who wants a lively street evening rather than a staged production

FAQ

Is Siam Niramit in Phuket open in 2026?

Yes. In October 2026 the theatre's website shows its schedule, promotions dated through 31 October 2026 and a Halal certificate for 2026-2027. The theatre is open daily except Tuesday.

What time is the show and how long is it?

The website schedule puts the show at 20:30-21:50, about 80 minutes. The theatre opens at 20:00, the gates and the 100 Year Thai Village at 17:30.

How much are the tickets?

On 18 October 2026 the official page lists 1,800-2,200 baht for an adult for show only and 2,200-2,600 baht with the buffet, and 1,600-2,000 and 1,800-2,200 baht for a child. The price depends on the seat class: Silver, Gold or Platinum.

What is the difference between Silver, Gold and Platinum seats?
