This policy describes how Thaipedia handles the data you leave in our request forms and in the form for reporting mistakes. The project follows general data protection principles: we collect only what is necessary, use it for the stated purpose, keep it for a limited time and let you have it deleted. The data operator is IE Dobzhanskiy Dmitriy Viktorovich, Kazakhstan (the first card on the legal information page).

What we collect

Only what you type into the form yourself: your name, a contact (Telegram, WhatsApp, phone or email), budget, goal and the text of your question or report. Each request is also saved with the address of the page it was sent from and the site you came from (the site name only, without the page address or parameters). We store nothing else about your device or behaviour in the request. To prevent spam we briefly keep unreadable hashes of your contact and IP address (with a secret salt; the contact and the address themselves are not stored) and the submission time: no more than 5 requests per hour and 2 per minute from one IP address, and no more than 3 requests per hour from one contact.

Why we collect it

To answer your question and to fix a mistake in an article. If you ask us to find a home, we pass your request to a suitable real estate agency that works in the region you need. The page address and the referring source help us understand what you were interested in and where readers come from.

Who we share it with

The project team and, if you ask for a home search, one suitable partner agency. We share only the fields of the request. We do not sell lists of contacts or pass data on for mailing lists. With your consent, a request goes to one agency, which pays the project for handling such a request: this is how the project earns. Places in the catalog and in collections are not for sale, and the order of projects does not depend on payment. Each request is delivered to the project team in Telegram: the messenger is a tool for passing and processing the request, so the text of the request is stored on Telegram servers.

Where it is stored and for how long

The request log is stored in the Netlify cloud. We keep each request for 24 months from its date and then delete the log entry automatically: the log is cleaned up once a day. Automatic deletion covers the log only. A copy of the request arrives in the project team’s Telegram and is not deleted there automatically: we delete such copies manually on your request and in any case no later than 24 months after the date of the request. The rate counters store only hashes and timestamps and are removed within two days.

Analytics and cookies

To see which pages people read and where readers come from, the site uses two counters: Yandex Metrica with session replay (Webvisor) and Google Analytics. They set cookies and collect anonymised visit data: pages opened and time spent on them, clicks and scrolling, the referring source, device and browser type, and an approximate city based on the IP address. The counters also note certain actions: starting to fill in a form, sending a request, searching the site, and tapping a phone number or messenger link. They do not record what you type into form fields, so your name and contact never reach analytics. Reports are seen only by the project team; the counter data is stored and processed by Yandex and Google under their own policies.

You can turn this off in your browser settings (block cookies or enable tracker blocking) or with the Yandex Metrica opt-out add-on and the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site and its forms work without the counters.

How to have your data deleted

Write to us through the contact page and include the contact you gave in your request. We will delete the data from the log and the Telegram copy within 10 business days and let the agency know if the request was passed to them.

Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected, restrict its processing, withdraw your consent and ask for deletion. To do so, write to us through the contact page. Withdrawing consent does not affect what was done before you withdrew it. If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you may contact the data protection authority of your country.

By submitting the form you agree to this policy: to the processing of the data described above and to sharing a buying or renting request with a suitable partner agency. The form cannot be sent without ticking the consent box.
