By coach from Suvarnabhumi Airport
Roong Reuang Coach runs a direct coach from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the Hua Hin bus terminal on Phetkasem Road, near Hua Hin Airport. The operator’s route page gives 361 baht per seat and about 4 hours depending on traffic.
- From Suvarnabhumi: 06:30, 07:30, 08:30, 09:30, 10:30, 12:00, 13:30, 14:30, 16:00, 17:00 and 18:30; the stop is on level 1 at gate 8, and the operator asks you to arrive 15 minutes early
- From Hua Hin: 06:00, 08:00, 09:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 16:00, 17:00 and 18:00
- Cha-am: the page lists a drop-off in front of the Bangkok Bank Cha-am branch on Phetkasem Road
This is an airport coach, not a city one: it does not pick up in central Bangkok, and we found no official timetable for a coach from the city. It stops at the bus terminal, not at hotels.
By car
By road it is 202.3 km and about 2 h 29 min without traffic from Krung Thep Aphiwat to Hua Hin station, and 199.0 km and 2 h 25 min from Victory Monument (OSRM, no traffic and no stops). We found no published taxi or private transfer fare from an operator, so we do not quote one: ask for a total price with what is included.
Which to choose
- Landing at Suvarnabhumi: the coach saves a trip into the city
- In the city and want the fastest: express 43 at 07:30 (3 h 01 min)
- Cheapest: ordinary train 261 from Hua Lamphong at 44 baht, or the cheapest class on a rapid train from Krung Thep Aphiwat from 94 baht
- Arriving at night: trains 173 (00:05) and 167 (00:18) arrive after midnight and train 39 at 02:04, so book the accommodation for the arrival time
