What you will see at the stadium
Max Muay Thai Stadium is a purpose-built fight arena on Sukhumvit Road (Pattaya Soi 42), in Nong Prue. Thai Holiday Guide says fights are advertised every day, and that the stadium is also a TV show: weekday cards are broadcast at 19:00 on True under the name MAX Muay Thai: The Global Fight. Each bout opens with wai khru ram muay and then runs three rounds. The October 2026 card, by the same source, listed a main event, a co-main and three supporting bouts, pairing Thai fighters with opponents from other countries.
What to know before you go:
- Format. Three rounds a bout, about 4-5 bouts a night, the whole show takes roughly two hours
- Start. About 19:00 on weekdays (doors about 18:40) and about 19:45 at weekends (doors about 19:20), finish about 20:45, per Thai Holiday Guide for October 2026

- Names. Sellers list the stadium under several names, including MAX Muay Thai Gym. Check the date and seat category on the confirmation, not the product name
Evening schedule and how to spend it
We found no official stadium schedule, so the order below follows Thai Holiday Guide and sellers’ vouchers.

- The show finishes around 20:45, and then you can have dinner
Camps and training
In a 2025 article TAT names Fairtex in Pattaya among gyms popular with tourists. The Fairtex company profile describes its Pattaya training centre as a place for programmes from beginners to professionals. According to OpenStreetMap the centre is in Naklua on Naklua Soi 33, 2.5 km and about 4 minutes from Central Pattaya.
According to its official website, Kombat Group Thailand is a camp for beginners and intermediates: Muay Thai, boxing and weight-loss courses, with a room, three meals and training in one package, open all year. OpenStreetMap places the camp in Huai Yai, 15.8 km and about 17 minutes from the centre.
- Schedule. Kombat Group’s website has schedules by programme. In the weight-loss programme Muay Thai runs Monday to Saturday 9:00-10:30, plus an evening boxing or Muay Thai class 17:00-19:00 (website, 18 October 2026)
- Terms. The camp’s FAQ: a deposit is needed to book, the policy is no refund, and last check-in is 19:00 unless you book their taxi. Read the terms before paying
- What to bring. For Muay Thai: gloves, hand wraps, shin and ankle protection, plus a mouthguard and groin guard for advanced students. The camp has its own shop
- Children. The Kombat Group website has a kids’ class section (Kids Class), the camp states the terms separately
How long it takes and when to go
Fights at the stadium run all year according to ticket sellers’ sites, and the sources show no seasonal pauses. An evening takes 2-3 hours including the ride. For camp training the season does not matter; April is the hottest month, 33 °C by day per TMD norms. More in Pattaya in October.
How to get there
- Stadium. 2.2 km and about 5 minutes from Central Pattaya without traffic by OSRM (route). Thai Holiday Guide says that from the beachfront it is a short taxi, Grab or songthaew ride rather than a walk
- Fairtex. 2.5 km and about 4 minutes by OSRM, Naklua Soi 33
- Kombat Group. 15.8 km and about 17 minutes by OSRM, Huai Yai
Rules of Muay Thai and etiquette
Under the IFMA rules cited by Wikipedia, Muay Thai allows strikes with fists, elbows, knees and feet. A point is scored by a strike that connects without being blocked, so hits on the glove, forearm, shin or foot do not count. If a fight goes the distance with equal scores, the winner is the fighter who landed more full-contact blows.
Before a bout comes wai khru ram muay. The mongkhon headband represents the fighter’s gym, and by tradition the trainer presents it when he judges the fighter ready to represent the gym. After the ritual the trainer often takes the mongkhon off and puts it in the corner of the ring for luck.
Children and ethics
Wikipedia says that in Thailand children begin training and fighting from about age five: in 2016, 9,998 children under 15 were registered with the boxing board of the Sports Authority. The director of the CSIP child-safety centre, as reported, held that children under 9 should not fight and that 9-15-year-olds should not take blows to the head. By the same source, the minimum age in the Boxing Act was often not observed. If you are offered tickets to children’s bouts, decide for yourself if you want to support such shows. Children’s training at a camp is different: Kombat Group has a separate section for it.
What to do in the rain
Fights are held in an arena, not on an open site, so this is a possible evening plan on a rainy day. The sources do not say if your stand is covered, so ask the seller. Training runs to the camp’s schedule.
Safety
- Contact sport. Training and sparring carry a risk of injury. Beginners are better off with a coach-led class than sparring with a stranger
- Insurance. Check that your policy covers contact sports
- Vouchers. Several sellers do not refund tickets, so confirm the date before paying
- Betting. Wikipedia, citing the Bangkok Post, says gambling is a large part of professional Thai boxing. If someone near you offers a bet, that is a separate risk, unrelated to your ticket
Who it suits and who it does not
- Suits anyone who wants to see Muay Thai in one evening. The show is short and finishes around 20:45
- Suits beginners who want to try a session. The camps take newcomers
- Does not suit anyone who dislikes contact sport. The fights are full contact, with elbows and knees
- Does not suit children without checking the rules. We found no age limits for the stadium, ask the seller
- Does not suit anyone who needs a price from a primary source. We did not find an official stadium price
