Nong Nooch Tropical Garden is a private garden south of Pattaya at kilometre 163 of Sukhumvit Road. According to the history on its website, in 1954 Pisit and Nongnooch Tansacha bought 1,500 rai of hills here (about 240 ha) for a fruit plantation and later turned the land into a garden. All prices and hours below come from the official website, checked on 17 October 2026.
What is inside
The garden’s home page lists its main areas: the tropical garden, Garden in the Sky, Kuan Kasian Samut, the Naca flower garden, the French garden, the Valley of the Dinosaurs and the Thai cultural show venue. Activities run separately:
- Thai cultural show. Dance and martial arts on stage, in a theatre seating about 2,030
- Elephant show. Elephants paint and play football and basketball, and visitors can feed them bananas
- Sightseeing bus. A ride around the garden, included in some tickets
- Elephant rides, bicycles, swan boats and feeding the arapaima
The garden is big: in the heat or with children, a ticket with the sightseeing bus is easier.

Who should skip it
- People who object to animal shows and elephant rides: they are part of the programme here, though tickets without the shows leave them out
- Anyone who struggles to walk long distances in the heat: Pattaya’s monthly mean temperature is 26-29 °C all year (TMD), and the site is huge
- Anyone after a beach day: there is no sea at the garden
Other trips from Pattaya are in one table in Pattaya day trips, and seasons and areas are in the Pattaya travel guide.
