November is Pattaya’s first dry month after the rainy season on the eastern shore of the Gulf of Thailand. Below are Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) normals for the three nearest stations, TMD’s outlook for November 2026, hotel occupancy and the month’s events. Checked on 17 October 2026.
Pattaya weather in November: TMD normals
These are 1991-2020 normals. Phatthaya (48 461) is in Pattaya itself, Chon Buri (48 459) to the north, Sattahip (48 477) to the south. A rainy day means 0.1 mm or more.

At Phatthaya: October has 224.5 mm on 17 days, November 56.6 mm on 5.6 days, December 11.7 mm on 1.9 days. November is a sharp switch to the dry season, which by the normals lasts until March.
TMD outlook for November 2026
TMD’s outlook of 9 October 2026 gives the east, including the coast, minimum temperatures of 24-26 °C in November and rain over 20-30% of the area. From mid-November to early February TMD expects cool weather across most of the centre and east, with morning fog. The long-range outlook will be updated in the last week of October.
TMD warns that in November and December low-pressure areas often form over the South China Sea and may become tropical storms crossing the Gulf of Thailand and the south. The southern Gulf takes the brunt, but postpone sea trips on days with a storm warning.

Hotel occupancy
According to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports (MOTS), hotel occupancy in Chon Buri province was 81.01% in November 2025, against 75.70% in October, 82.08% in December, 82.12% in January and 86.14% in April. These are province-wide figures. From November, book rooms for holidays and long weekends early.
Should you go to Pattaya in November?
Yes: by the normals it is the first dry month, hot but not April-hot, and less crowded than December-January. If you go in early November, keep a couple of spare days for storms. Compare with other regions in Thailand in November and with the month before in Pattaya in October.

It is celebrated nationwide by the water: the sea, lakes and canals. TAT describes it as the full moon of the 12th lunar month, and as of 17 October TAT had not published the 2026 date. We estimate around 24 November; Pattaya venues are usually announced closer to the date.
Pattaya or Phuket in November?
By TMD normals Pattaya is clearly drier in November: 56.6 mm on 5.6 days versus 178.2 mm on 15.9 days in Phuket. Phuket gets drier every week, though, and the Similans have been open since 15 October. See Pattaya vs Phuket for more.
