How to get from Krabi to Koh Lanta

Koh Lanta is an island district of Krabi province south of the mainland, with Saladan Pier at its northern tip, where boats and ferries arrive. By road the route to it includes a ferry crossing, and by sea you choose between a speedboat and a slower ferry. Below are the operators’ own timetables and fares as seen on 25 October 2026, and OSRM road distances.

All options in one table

By speedboat from Ao Nang or Railay

Bundhaya Speed Boat Co., Ltd. has run speedboats and ferries in the Andaman Sea since 2002. Its route list on 25 October 2026 shows these trips to Saladan Pier on Koh Lanta, with the starting price per person:

• Ao Nang (Nopparat Thara Pier) → Koh Lanta: 1 h 30 min, from 1,250 baht, all year
• Railay (East Railay Bay floating pier) → Koh Lanta: 1 h 10 min, from 1,250 baht, all year
• Phi Phi (Ton Sai Pier) → Koh Lanta: 30 min, from 700 baht, all year

The return Koh Lanta → Ao Nang and Koh Lanta → Railay trips are marked seasonal on the same list, so confirm them for your date. The route list gives a starting price and a duration; we did not check departure times on the operator’s booking pages.

There is no ticket from Krabi Town on these lists. Andaman Wave Master sails from Klong Jilad Pier in Krabi Town, but only to Phi Phi (ferry at 13:00, arrival 15:30, 450 baht for an adult and 350 for a child, daily). Its Phi Phi to Lanta ferries run December to March from Laem Thong Beach on Phi Phi at 11:30 and 15:30, so this is not a same-day connection from Krabi: the Krabi boat reaches Tonsai Pier at 15:30.

Tigerline Ferry and Siri Lanta Speedboat also serve Lanta. On 25 October the timetable page of their shared site carried sheets for October 2025-April 2026 and May-September 2026 only, so we do not quote its times or fares for the coming season.

By road with a ferry crossing

Our Koh Lanta page notes that there is no fixed bridge from the mainland, so cars and minivans cross by ferry (the OSRM route includes the crossing). The distances without queues or waiting for the ferry:

We found no official fare or timetable for the Krabi to Lanta minivan: carriers are private and publish nothing we could verify. For reference only, the 12go aggregator listed vans from 396 baht for 28 October 2026 on 25 October, with the listed trips taking from 2.5 to 3.75 hours. These are the aggregator’s numbers, not a carrier’s, and the listing does not say whether a price is per person or per booking. From Phuket to Koh Lanta

Boats leave Rassada Pier in Phuket. Fares are for adults, one way, as listed by the operators on 25 October 2026:

Andaman Wave Master’s speedboat price covers transfers from Patong, Kata, Karon, Phuket Town, Rawai, Nai Harn and Chalong; children aged 4-11 pay the child fare, and a speedboat surcharge of 300 baht per infant per way applies. By road from Phuket Airport to Saladan Pier it is 226.3 km and about 3 h 57 min including a ferry crossing (OSRM).

What to check before you buy

• Season. The Phi Phi to Lanta ferry runs December to March and the Phuket to Lanta ferry November to April. Speedboats are listed all year, but the operators can change or cancel trips
• The pier on the ticket. Boats arrive at Saladan Pier. Phi Phi boats may leave from Laem Thong Beach rather than Tonsai Pier, so check the pier name
• Changes. Andaman Wave Master states that boat schedules and periods of operation may change without notice, and ferry prices do not include land transfers in Krabi, Lanta or Phi Phi
