Bus to town and Ao Nang

TAT’s Ao Nang page describes a bus route from the airport via the bus terminal and Krabi Town to Noppharat Thara and Ao Nang. It lists THB 80 to the terminal, THB 90 to town and THB 150 to the coast. The tariff is undated. Those figures were visible on 29 October 2026, but we have not confirmed current ticket sales at those prices.

TAT describes departures linked to flights and drop-offs along the main road. Show your hotel address before paying and ask about your stop and any vehicle change. Do not plan around a last bus solely from an old online timetable.

Railay: arrange the car and boat together

Rayavadee describes its own transfer as a car journey to a private pier followed by a boat. Its pier and arrangements apply to its guests. If staying elsewhere, ask your own hotel for arrival instructions rather than choosing a private pier yourself.

Check whether the quote covers both legs, luggage and waiting for a delayed flight. Confirm your landing side: Railay has several beach areas, so the peninsula name alone does not specify your meeting point.

Late arrivals and travelling with children

Send your flight number to the hotel and get the meeting point in writing. Ask about a child seat, car capacity and boat luggage limits. If the boat is not confirmed for your arrival time, consider a first night on the mainland and a daytime transfer. This is a planning option, not a claim that night boats are prohibited.

Ask the counter or driver for the total to your address and whether it is per person or per vehicle. We did not find a current uniform taxi tariff in the primary sources checked, so do not quote a fixed taxi fare here.

Getting back to the airport

Agree the pickup time with your carrier using your flight and airline check-in deadline. From Railay, allow for both transport legs and waiting for the boat. Keep a backup hotel or carrier contact and reconfirm the meeting before leaving.

For the journey from the capital, compare Bangkok to Krabi. For an onward island trip, read Krabi to Phi Phi: the boat ticket and airport transfer may be sold separately.

FAQ

Can I drive straight from the airport to Railay?

The last leg is by boat. Ask your hotel which pier and landing side to use; a car booking labelled Railay does not establish that the boat is included.

Does the airport bus drop me at my hotel door?

TAT describes drop-offs on the main road near the hotel. Give the hotel name before buying and check the remaining walk.

How much is the bus to Ao Nang?

TAT lists THB 150 on an undated page. Treat this as a published reference, not a confirmed fare for your flight, and check at the counter.
