When a taxi beats renting
- You have no licence of the right category: a bike needs category A, a car needs category B, and a taxi needs no licence
- You are on the island for a week or less: a deposit and the rental paperwork will not pay off
- You plan to drink in the evening: the alcohol limit for drivers is 0.5 g/l, and 0.2 g/l without a licence or with the wrong category
- You are heading to the airport with luggage or at night
What to know about Grab and Bolt
The apps show the price before you book, so there is nothing to argue about on the street. Compare two apps before each ride and check the category: in Bolt, Economy and Bolt are priced differently. Get in only if the plate matches the app. Never hand your passport to a driver.
