The prices, terms and conditions below are from the official Thailand Privilege Card site (thailandprivilege.co.th), checked on 19 October 2026. The programme’s terms are set by the company itself, not by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: it changes prices and packages on its own, so check them on the site before paying. The name “Elite” survives in conversation and in the programme’s own texts, for example in the FAQ. Packages that were sold before October 2023 are listed separately on the site as discontinued.

What it is

The Thailand Privilege Card is a membership in a programme. When you pay the fee you get a membership card and the right to a visa of a special kind (the programme’s text calls it the PE visa, Privilege Entry), plus a set of services: airport meet-and-greet, help with the stay report, bank account opening and Thai driving licences, partner discounts. The visa is affixed after your membership is activated.

It is not residency and not a work visa. What it does not give is covered below in the section on work.

ReserveTHB 5,000,00020 years120

The Reserve package is by invitation only. For packages sold before October 2023 the site does not state the terms, so write to the programme’s call centre.

Points are for paying for the programme’s services, notably the 90-day report: on Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Reserve it can be paid for with points.

Besides the visa packages the site lists packages without a visa: Lite THB 9,900, Lifestyle 150,000, Beyond 250,000 and Corporate 500,000 for a year (per the catalogue data on the site). These are access to privileges only and do not give a visa.

What is included

On the Bronze page the complimentary services include:

  • a personal assistant at the airport and fast-track immigration
  • a concierge’s help with the 90-day report, bank account opening and Thai driving licences
  • a multilingual call centre

Additions by package:

PackageWhat is added
Bronzea 5-year visa, VIP airport service, a personal liaison from the programme (1 time)
Gold and Platinuman annual health check-up, a night at Anantara Vacation Club, personal accident cover for 180 days

How to apply

  1. Submit an application online or through authorised agents worldwide, including in Thailand
  2. Attach documents. A colour copy of a valid passport (at least one year of validity), a photo on a white or blue background and a completed application form
  3. Wait for approval. Up to 2 months per the site. The programme’s news includes a notice about a delay in background-check processing; the terms of that check are not on the package pages
  4. Pay for the membership. By bank transfer from abroad or within Thailand, by Visa, Mastercard, Alipay or UnionPay, or via Thai QR
  5. Wait for activation. Membership is activated within a week of payment
  6. Get the visa. There are three options: Suvarnabhumi, Phuket or Chiang Mai airport on a direct international flight, the Chaeng Wattana immigration office (Bangkok), or a Thai embassy or consulate

If you ask for the visa to be affixed in Chiang Mai, you cannot change your flight or date: the programme sends a letter to immigration in advance. If you do change them, the visa can be affixed only at Chaeng Wattana.

Stay, extensions and reports

PE visa holders get a 1-year extension of stay with each application. The extension is done by immigration where you live: the fee is THB 1,900 in cash, you must appear in person for a photo and fingerprints, and you can apply no earlier than 30 days before your stay ends. The Immigration Bureau can change the amount.

Documents for the extension, per the programme’s list: a passport, two copies of the relevant pages with your signature, two 4 x 6 cm photos, the TM.6 card, the TM.30 notification receipt, form TM.7, your membership card and the money.

Members do the 90-day report themselves at immigration or through the programme. In Bangkok passports are accepted at the head office on Mondays, and there are representatives in Chonburi, Chiang Mai and Phuket. Being late costs THB 2,000 and an obligation to appear in person. For members of the earlier “quota” packages (Elite Easy Access, Elite Privilege Access and others) the report is included in a quota: 4 services a year.

Working on an Elite visa

The programme’s official site says it plainly: the Elite visa is a long-term tourist visa and does not let you obtain a work permit, except by joining the Elite Flexible Plus programme. If you need to work, you apply for a Non-B separately: you have to leave and apply at an embassy in your own country, and each time you leave and re-enter you need a re-entry permit. The Elite visa itself stays valid until it expires.

On Non-B see the guide to the work visa and work permit. For remote work for foreign clients there is the DTV.

The DTV and the LTR are covered in the guides to the DTV and the LTR. Buying an apartment in Thailand does not give any of these visas by itself, see the answer does property give a visa in Thailand.

Who this is not for

People who need to work for a Thai company: no work permit is issued on Elite. People looking for tax benefits: we found none. People who want residency: Elite is a long-term tourist visa with annual extensions, not permanent residence. People who need a visa for a year or two: the packages are built for 5 years and more, for a short stay look at the DTV.

What we did not find in official sources

  • Requirements for the applicant’s income, age, criminal record or nationality: the package pages list only a passport, a photo and a form. There is a notice about background checks on the site, but not the terms of the check
  • The terms of the “Next Member promotion” that the site advertises at THB 750,000: the terms are in an image we could not read
  • A refund policy for the fee in case of refusal or cancellation
  • Confirmation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Immigration Bureau: all the information comes from the programme itself

FAQ

How much does Thailand Elite cost in 2026?

Five packages with a visa as of October 2026: Bronze THB 650,000 for 5 years, Gold 900,000 for 5, Platinum 1,500,000 for 10, Diamond 2,500,000 for 15, Reserve 5,000,000 for 20 years (by invitation). These are prices from the programme's site. Extending your stay at immigration is paid separately, THB 1,900.

What is included in Thailand Elite?

On the Bronze page the complimentary services are an airport personal assistant, fast-track immigration, a concierge for the 90-day report, bank account opening and Thai driving licences, and a call centre. Bronze has no points; higher packages do, along with an annual health check-up, personal accident cover for 180 or 365 days and a night at Anantara Vacation Club. Reserve adds co-working, fitness access and a free domestic flight.

Can I work on an Elite visa?

No. The programme itself says the Elite visa is a long-term tourist visa and does not let you obtain a work permit, except by joining the Elite Flexible Plus programme. To work you can apply for a Non-B separately, at an embassy in your own country. For remote work for foreign clients there is the DTV.

How do I extend my stay and do the 90-day report?

You extend at the immigration office where you live: you appear in person for a photo and fingerprints, the fee is THB 1,900, and a PE holder gets a year's extension with each application. Members do the 90-day report themselves or through the programme. Missing the deadline costs THB 2,000 and an obligation to appear in person.

How does Elite differ from the LTR and the DTV?

Elite is a paid membership: the conditions on the programme's site are a fee and documents (passport, photo, form), with no income or investment test named. The LTR is a BOI selection on income, assets and employer, with tax benefits and a work permit. The DTV costs USD 350 in Moscow and needs THB 500,000 on your account, and allows stays of up to 180 days per entry.
