A Russian-speaking child in Phuket has three types of school to choose from: Russian-curriculum, bilingual and international in English. Below is what school sites and official registers confirm as of 19 October 2026. We do not recommend a specific school: the choice depends on age, the goal (returning to a Russian school or following an international system) and the area where you rent.
A Russian-curriculum school: Russvet
The private Russian school Russvet (Rassvet in Russian) says it has operated in Phuket since 2013. Its legal entity, Rusviet Phuket Co., Ltd., was created on 01.06.2017 and is registered in Chalong (school site, “Basic information”). What the documents on the school’s site confirm:
- Russian accreditation. A Rosobrnadzor register extract of 22.07.2026: state accreditation No. A007-00115-99/01353955, order No. 1690 of 16.08.2024, valid until 16.08.2036, for primary, basic and secondary general education (status “valid”). The extract gives only the Chalong address. Before that, by the school’s account, pupils were attached to the Russian embassy school in Bangkok
- Curriculum. The Russian FGOS standard, the “School of Russia” programme in the lower grades, intensive English. The school hosts the Russian state exams (OGE, EGE) and national tests (VPR) and runs external study with certification
- Branches. By the news of 1 September 2026: Chalong (preparation group to grade 11) and Bang Tao in Thalang district (grades 1-9)
- Fees for 2025/26 by the order of 29.08.2025: grades 1-4 THB 24,200 a month, grades 5-7 THB 29,700, grades 8-9 THB 32,450, grades 10-11 THB 32,450. Before 7% VAT, which is added for non-cash payment. The THB 10,000 entrance fee is not refunded, and the security deposit equals one month’s tuition and is refunded under the contract. By the school’s FAQ a meal costs THB 200 a day, after-school care THB 200 an hour and extra classes start from THB 400
- Thai status. The site publishes a scan of licence No. 12/2567 of 03.09.2024 for a “non-formal school” (นอกระบบ) under the Private School Act of 2007: “Russvet Language And Tutoring School”, type vocational and tutoring, Chalong address. OPEC lists it as non-formal (vocational). It is not a formal school of the Thai Ministry of Education
We found no fees for the 2026/27 school year on the site: the latest published order is for 2025/26. Under its clause 4.2 the fees apply to new contracts and to renewals for the next period unless the contract says otherwise. Ask at enrolment whether the prices changed.
A bilingual school: Kinderville Nova
Kinderville Nova is listed in OPEC as an international school (Chalong, Jaofa road). By its site: a kindergarten in Rawai from age 2, the school in Chalong from age 6, and a school transfer between the branches. Teaching is in Russian and English, the programme combines Cambridge and the Russian FGOS, classes have 12-18 children. Graduates can, by the school’s statement, continue in either the Russian or an international English-language system. There are no prices in the open text of the site.

All five schools give a sibling discount (Kajonkiet 15% for the second child, HeadStart 10% for the second and 15% for the third, UWC and BISP 5% for the second and 15% for the third). We did not find the other register schools’ prices on their official sites, so ask their admissions offices. We found no separate official site for Rawai Park School.
Russian language in international schools is confirmed on the sites at QSI: 2-3 days a week for Russian students, a programme contracted out to Rusviet Phuket Co., Ltd. That is the same company that stands behind Russvet.
How to choose and what to check
- The goal. If the child will return to a Russian school, look at Russian accreditation and certification. If you need an international system and universities abroad, look at the international schools
- The school’s status. Check the school in the OPEC register: formal or non-formal, and on what basis the diploma is issued
- Language. Ask about intensive English: at Kajonkiet compulsory EAL lessons are paid (THB 46,000-62,000 a year by grade), at HeadStart THB 60,000, at BISP the intensive English course is THB 147,000, other schools have their own terms
- The commute. Schools cluster in Chalong, Kathu and Choeng Thale. For housing nearby see Chalong, Kathu, Rawai and Bang Tao, and rent levels in renting in Phuket
- One-off fees. At the four schools with prices in baht the application, placement, fund contributions and deposits add up to THB 112,000-356,000, refundable deposits included: budget the first year separately
State Thai schools teach in Thai, and the lists by area are on the area pages. We did not check the admission terms for foreign children in them against official documents. For a holiday with children read travelling to Thailand with kids, for medical care hospitals in Phuket.
What we do not know
We could not open the Rosobrnadzor register itself: on 19.10.2026 the accreditation register site (islod.obrnadzor.gov.ru) did not load from a Thai address, and from our server outside Russia a connection to the agency’s sites could not be made. The status and term by number were not checked in the register. We relied on the register extract of 22.07.2026 that the school published and on the OPEC record. Recheck the accreditation number in the Rosobrnadzor register yourself. The documents do not show whether the accreditation and the Thai licence cover the Bang Tao branch. Kindergartens and schools without an official site or a register entry are not included. We recheck this page every 90 days, fees change every school year.
FAQ
Is there a Russian school in Phuket accredited in Russia?
Yes, the private Russian school Russvet (Rassvet), run by Rusviet Phuket Co., Ltd. Its Rosobrnadzor register extract of 22 July 2026 shows state accreditation No. A007-00115-99/01353955, granted on 16.08.2024 until 16.08.2036 for primary, basic and secondary general education. The school hosts the Russian state exams (OGE, EGE) and national tests (VPR) and offers external study with certification. By the school's news of 1 September 2026 it has two branches: Chalong (preparation group to grade 11) and Bang Tao (grades 1-9).
Is it a licensed Thai school?
Not in the way international schools are. The school's site publishes a Thai licence No. 12/2567 of 3 September 2024 for a "non-formal school" under the Private School Act of 2007. In the document itself it is "Russvet Language And Tutoring School", type vocational and tutoring. OPEC lists it under a different name (languages and skills development, Russvet) as non-formal (vocational). The licence and the register give only the Chalong address. Which education document a graduate receives, and whether the accreditation covers the Bang Tao branch, ask the school before enrolling.
How much does school cost in Phuket?
Russvet for 2025/26: THB 24,200 a month in grades 1-4, 29,700 in 5-7, 32,450 in 8-11, before VAT, a THB 10,000 entrance fee and a refundable deposit of one month's tuition. International schools for 2026/27, per year: Kajonkiet THB 285,000-454,000, HeadStart 347,000-540,000, UWC Thailand 345,000-933,000, British International School 489,000-982,700, plus one-off fees (Kajonkiet THB 60,000 entrance and 50,000 refundable endowment, HeadStart 100,000 and 75,000, UWC THB 100,000 placement and a development fund from 165,000, BISP THB 200,000 placement). QSI quotes USD 15,100 a year from age 5. We did not find the other schools' prices, get them from the schools.
Will an international school take a child without English?
Schools usually offer intensive English for an extra fee. Kajonkiet charges for compulsory English as an Additional Language (EAL) lessons for 2026/27 when a child is below the school's standard: THB 46,000-62,000 a year depending on grade. HeadStart charges THB 60,000 a year for EAL and BISP THB 147,000 for its intensive English course. QSI admits ages 3 to 18, teaches in English and has a separate admissions policy for intensive English. Ask other schools before you apply.
Which international schools in Phuket offer Russian?
Two options are confirmed by official sites. At QSI Phuket Russian is taught 2-3 days a week to Russian students, a programme contracted out to Rusviet Phuket Co., Ltd. By its site Kinderville Nova teaches in a balance of Russian and English and combines the Cambridge programme with the Russian FGOS. We did not study the sites of the other register schools in full: if you need Russian, ask the admissions office.
